Mooney N30EG aircraft in new paint

Mooney N30EG aircraft in new paint

We would like to introduce another aircraft we have been honored to repaint.

Mooney aircrafts, sometimes called as “small fighters” due their performance and capabilities, deserve attention between other G.A. aeroplanes. Owners of N30EG understand that well and chose very eye catching paint design.

We would like to hope it add a couple of knots in airspeed too. :)

We don’t idle

28 March 2014

We have been quite busy during last few months as we refurbished two pressurized Cessna P210Ns.

The first of two aircrafts flew in for annual and SID inspection but it turned out into major restoration project including new paint, upholstery refurbishment, instrument panel upgrade, etc.

The second one Centurion, in this case converted to the Silver Eagle configuration with installation of turboshaft Allison/Rolls Royce 250 engine, initially flew in for just a new paint, but at the end after SID inspections, interior refurbishment, avionics upgrade, etc. we have found that the new paint was something like “icing on the cake”.

Information for Cessna aircraft owners

20 December 2011

The Cessna Aircraft Company has released a news of Single-Engine Aircraft Safety Education Initiative, which we cite here:

WICHITA, Kan., Dec. 2, 2011 — Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has launched a safety initiative to educate 100- and 200-series single-engine piston aircraft owners around the world about new supplemental aircraft inspection procedures that will be added to Cessna service manuals.

The supplemental inspections cover Cessna single-engine piston aircraft produced between 1946 and 1986 when Cessna suspended production of piston aircraft. The inspections will be incorporated into the service manuals for the 200-series aircraft in early December and the change for the 100-series aircraft will be made in April 2012.

“The supplemental inspection program we've developed is primarily a visual process aimed at supporting the continued airworthiness of aging airframes,” said Beth Gamble, Cessna's principal engineer for airframe structures. “Through this education effort, we hope to answer most questions before we release the revised service manuals. We encourage owners to check in with their local Cessna service affiliate at the appropriate times to have the mandatory inspections completed.”

The criteria for initial visual inspections will vary by model and aircraft age or hours of operation and focus primarily on signs of corrosion or structural fatigue damage. Cessna authorized service providers will have special training and access to specific equipment for the inspections and for repairs, if required.

“Corrosion and fatigue are inevitable but with early detection and proper maintenance, severity and effects can be minimized,” Gamble said. “The new inspection requirements we've developed are very simple, and are based on visual inspection that can be done quickly by a trained inspector during an annual inspection.”

Cessna plans a series of education opportunities on the new inspection procedures starting with the company's authorized parts and service facilities. An interactive presentation is available on the customer access portion of the Customer Service page of Cessna.com and a short video explaining the inspection process on Cessna's YouTube channel at youtube.com/CessnaAircraftCo.

The original interactive presentation (size 33 MB) is in PPSX format and compressed in ZIP archive. For its uncompressing you will probably need some archiver, for example 7-Zip (freeware, size 1 MB) and for presentation wieving MS Office or PowerPoint Viewer (size 60,4 MB).

Members of our aeroclub Vysoke Myto, Czech Republic, participated on an air show on 100 years of Czech aviation Aniversary Fly-In in Pardubice on Sat 5 and Sun 6 June.

Sixteen aircraft of Zlin Z-126 Trener and Z-226 type (inclusive of our two pieces) have shown to onlookers flights in close echelon – see photo.

From our Aeroservice viewpoint it is interesting to note that the one half, i.e. 8, of these aircraft regularly take advantage of our services within the scope of maintenance (AMO) and/or continuing airworthiness management (CAMO).
